Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that there are no Grounds to introduce the State of Emergency in Ukraine in view of the Flu Epidemic

During his Saturday´s working visit to the city of Uman, V.Lytvyn stated that the talks concerning introduction of the state of emergency in Ukraine in the period of flu epidemic "test the public response to the introduction of the state of emergency". "Introduction of the state of emergency will have no effect, as there is no dialogue", - stressed the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

V.Lytvyn also stated that "any corresponding decision shall be approved by the Parliament". The Head of the Parliament believes that "neither the Party of Regions, nor the BYuT Faction is interested in it, and it makes more than 300 votes".

V.Lytvyn believes: "If there were no elections, there would be no talks about the epidemic". The statistical data testifies of the high death rate from other diseases and road accidents. V.Lytvyn stresses that preservation of the Ukrainian nation shall become a national idea.

During the working visit, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine observed the production process at "Tekhnoloh" CJSC pharmacological enterprise and met its personnel. Serhiy Rensky, company director, stated that the medicine was produced from the concentrated products purchased abroad that are certified in compliance with the European standards and correspond to the imported counterparts.

V.Lytvyn regrets that Ukraine falls "forty years" behind the world medicine producers. He deems necessary to support "national devotees in this pursuit".

V.Lytvyn also visited the Rehabilitation Complex for the People with Special Needs in the city of Uman. The Head of the Parliament presented a modern boiler to this medical and rehabilitation center.
